Denis Grutcki, MD

Dr. Grutcki practices full time Anesthesiology with a focus on regional anesthesia and pain management in the greater Fort Lauderdale area in Florida. He graduated from the Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul in 2012, in Porto Alegre, Brazil, always claimed as one of the top 5 medical schools in the whole country. After graduation, he worked in his home state for a few years, including dedicating a year as a medical lieutenant for the Brazilian Army. He then completed his residency at the University of New Mexico, in Albuquerque and went for a one-year fellowship in Regional Anesthesia and Acute Pain at UPMC, the largest program for the subspecialty in the USA, where he experienced hundreds of nerve blocks and daily ultrasound experience. Dr. Grutcki became certified in Anesthesiology by the American Board of Anesthesiology.
He has interest in pain management, regional anesthesia, perioperative pain management, ketamine infusions and recently discovered a special interest in Regenerative Medicine, which includes the use of orthobiologics. He has always been attracted to Florida as he is originally from Brazil and finds the state very appealing culturally. Naples is very dear to him as his wife has resided there and only tells him the good experiences she had.
Dr. Grutcki lives in the greater Fort Lauderdale area with his wife, who is also a practicing physician, his baby daughter and his Australian Sheperd Princess Leia. He enjoys playing tennis, traveling and spending quality time with his family. He is fluent in Portuguese, English and Spanish.
